Let’s practice! Now that you’ve learned how to compose and send Approved Emails, try these exercises in your sandbox Vault CRM instance.

Challenge 1 - Create a Call Rate Report

Let’s say your sales manager requests a way to view the call rate of the sales reps on their team. Rather than a count of total calls per calendar day, this report would factor in real-time in the field, excluding time off territory.

To do this, use the following general formula to create a report in Vault CRM listing the call rate of each team member under the sales manager in the territory hierarchy:

Call Rate = Total Calls / (Total Days in Field - Time off Territory)

Challenge 2 - Schedule the Call Rate report to be sent via email

Now that you have the Call Rate report, schedule it to be sent to one of your users every Sunday. To do this, you'll need:

  • The Call Rate report from Challenge 1

  • A separate user in CRM

  • Access the user's email inbox
