What are the levels of consent for Approved Email?

Consent Capture provides two levels of consent for Approved Email and they can’t be configured simultaneously:

  • Channel – An HCP opts in or out once, for a specific email address. This single consent record covers all Approved Email content.
  • Product or Content Type – An HCP opts in or out for specific products from the Product Catalog (for example, Natevba, Larbinone) or customer-defined content types (for example, Marketing, Promotional), providing reps and HCPs more control. In the following pages, we’ll go into more detail about how this works.

Your company chooses a level based on its compliance requirements and how much granularity it wants in managing HCP preferences. When your admin sets up an Approved Email consent channel, all consent lines for that channel must be the same type — either all products or all content types. For example, if Natevba and Labrinone are both set up as product-level consent lines for Approved Email, the admin cannot add a content type consent line to the same channel.
