How can I customize the Consent Capture screen?
With the basic structure in place, Amy turns her attention to making the Consent Capture screen as clear and useful as possible for her field reps and the HCPs they work with. Several settings on the Consent Header let her control exactly what end users see when they go to capture HCP consent.
- Help Text – Amy's reps work with HCPs who sometimes have questions about what they're consenting to. She adds a brief explanation of the consent process in the Consent Header Help Text field on the Consent Header record. This text displays at the top of the Consent Capture screen and can include anything from a simple overview to step-by-step instructions.
- Controlling the Subscribe All / Unsubscribe All Buttons – By default, the Consent Capture screen includes global subscription buttons allowing an HCP opt-in to or out of all channels at once. For Amy's organization, the legal team has asked that HCPs make deliberate, channel-by-channel choices rather than opting in wholesale. Amy sets the Subscription Option field to 1 on the Consent Header to disable these global buttons.
- Display Order of Channels and Lines – By default, channels and lines appear alphabetically. Amy's most important channel is Approved Email, so she sets its Display Order to 1, ensuring it displays at the top of the Consent Capture screen. She does the same for consent lines, putting Natevba first since that's the product her reps discuss most frequently.
- Requiring Consent Capture when Contact Information Changes – Amy's team sometimes updates an HCP's email address directly from the Consent Capture screen. Certain regulations require that consent be re-captured immediately whenever contact information changes. To prevent unverified changes to HCP contact information, Amy enables the Reject Channel Source on Edit setting on the Consent Header. This way, if a rep updates an email address and then cancels out of the consent flow without completing it, the change is rejected and the email address won't be saved until consent has been captured to confirm it.
