How do I edit hierarchies and submit Data Change Requests (DCRs)?

Hierarchy Explorer is not just a read-only view of the health system hierarchy; it is an active tool for data stewardship.

Edit Hierarchies

Admins can control who can edit what. You can enable editing for specific custom hierarchies, ensuring that users are only modifying the data relevant to their role.

Business users often know the reality of the field better than a central database does. If a user spots a discrepancy, they can act on it directly within Hierarchy Explorer:

  • Add/Remove Affiliations - Quickly add a doctor to a clinic or remove an outdated relationship
  • Edit Profiles - Edit the profile details of an HCP or HCO without jumping to a different screen

Integrated DCR Support

When a user makes an edit in Hierarchy Explorer, it doesn't just change the local view; a Data Change Request (DCR) is also submitted to Veeva Network. This means there is no need to navigate to a separate DCR page.

All searches and DCRs are tracked in Network logs, helping admins troubleshoot and support users.
