What does the Sampling Process look like?

We can simplify Sampling into two main processes:

• Providing samples to HCPs, either physical products or BRCs
• Managing your sample inventory

Sampling HCPs

Providing samples to HCPs can involve providing them with physical product samples, or allowing them to place an order for samples to be shipped to them. The process used depends on whether a company works with a physical or virtual inventory of samples.

Managing Sample Inventory

Before sales reps can provide samples to their accounts, products and BRCs first have to be allocated to rep. This process happens whether a company uses physical or virtual samples. Samples are highly regulated and so each one of them must be accounted for at all stages of the process. In addition, reps are responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of their samples, and handling expired and recalled products as well.
