How can I be sure a customer is eligible to receive samples?

Sampling is highly regulated and as a result, samples should only be given to HCPs who are eligible to receive them. Vault CRM uses both signature validation and sample status to ensure an HCP is in compliance. HCPs must be licensed to prescribe the product to receive samples in the state where they are located. This is because an HCP may practice in more than one state and must have a valid license in each state.

You can check the Sample Status of an HCP on the call report:

• Valid = Green indicator

• Pending = Yellow Indicator

• Invalid = Red Indicator

Here, Dr. Ackerman's DEA status indicates he is indeed eligible to receive samples. As an added measure of security and for future auditing purposes, the rep is also required to capture his signature confirming he's received the samples.
