Who can see and act on Suggestions?
There are two primary visibility options when creating Suggestions:
-
Public - Associated at the Account level which provides visibility for any user with access to the account. Public is the default setting for Suggestions.
-
Field users Sarah and Mark both visit Mid Maine Internal Medicine. By using Public Suggestions, once Sarah acts on the Suggestion, it is organized behind the Closed status to avoid visual clutter and over-messaging an HCP.
-
-
Private - Associated at the User level which limits visibility and actions to the assigned individual
-
Andy creates a Private Suggestion only visible to Sarah, allowing for individual guidance that doesn’t clutter her teammates’s views.
-
Other Factors Affecting Visibility
Even if a Suggestion is public, there are other reasons why a Suggestion doesn’t display for a user. These include:
-
My Setup & Products - Suggestions respect a field user’s My Setup settings. For example, if a Suggestion tags the product, Cholecap, but a user isn’t assigned to that product, they won’t see the Suggestion.
-
Expiration Dates - Once a Suggestion passes its expiration date, it automatically disappears. We’ll cover expiration dates later in this Flightpath.
-
Status Filters - By default, you can only see Open Suggestions. Filtering to view Closed Suggestions displays those that have been completed or dismissed.
