What are the components of Surveys?

Before you can start using Surveys effectively, you need to understand its parts.

  • Channel - How the survey is delivered (via Vault CRM, CLM, or Approved Email)
  • Survey Questions - The most important part of a survey. This contains the information or feedback you want to collect. You can create questions yourself or use the Question Bank. Any questions you create for a survey can also be added to the Question Bank to be used on other surveys in the future.
  • Segment - You can use segments to categorize the results of the weighted questions in your survey. This can add depth of meaning to the responses you receive. We'll talk more about segments in the next Flightpath, Creating Surveys.
  • Survey Targets - You need to select who you want to send the survey to. You can add survey targets here or by data loading.

Survey responses are displayed on the Survey Management page once the survey is closed. This includes both answers to individual questions, and high-level segment breakdowns if the segmentation feature is in use.

In this short video, you can see where to find these components on the Survey Detail page.
